Snehta Works with Habitat for Humanity
This week we’d like to tell you about Snehta’s volunteer project–working with Habitat for Humanity to help finish building a home! Clark Howard, a broadcaster for Atlanta’s WSB-TV, hosts an annual event with Habitat for Humanity to help build homes for those in need that anyone can volunteer to join in on—and this year, Snehta took part. Working with Habitat for Humanity is guaranteed to be a life-changing experience not only for those who receive a finished home, but also for the volunteers themselves. Three of Snehta’s employees—Aysha LaBon, Kelly Masters, and Sean Travers—decided to share their experiences and express how helping others not only gave them a sense of accomplishment, but also changed the way they see the world and their work with Snehta.
Why Consumers Should Write Online Reviews
When it comes to discovering a small business’ reputation, more research is being done online than ever before. Naturally, this is because it’s easier and more convenient than relying on word-of-mouth testimonials (which aren’t by any means obsolete just yet). Online reviews from complete strangers, however, are carrying more weight in this ever-increasing digital world. According to the Local Consumer Review Survey in 2012, as much as 72% of customers trust online reviews as much as word-of-mouth recommendations, and that number is expected to rise through 2014. The good thing about this is that most online reviews are highly reliable, and they help customers make smarter decisions concerning which products and services to purchase and which to avoid.
The Easy Organized Kitchen
Though it’s still chilly outside, Spring Cleaning season will be upon us soon enough. It’s time to start collecting cleaning supplies and planning your best “tidying up” strategies, which can be difficult without a little inspiration here and there. One of the messiest, most cluttered areas in a home (besides your teenager’s nightmarish bedroom) is perhaps the most important: the kitchen. With dozens of pots, pans, spices, condiments, food, and more, your kitchen might be bursting at the seams. Those cabinets can only withstand a few more attempts to shove a pot between two large pans before they finally give way and explode. While we can’t be there to help you clean out your kitchen and reorganize, we can help! Snehta has gathered together a few crafty, do-it-yourself projects to better organize your kitchen with many items you already have at home or can buy for almost nothing.
Remodeling your bathroom, finding inspiration can be difficult. Settling on a starting point can seem even more daunting. If you live in an older home especially, modern trends, styles, and functionality improvements can be lost on you unless you search for them. Showers especially have changed vastly from their humble beginnings, and they serve as a good base around which you can remodel your entire bathroom. We’ve found 15 of the most unique designs for showers–both inside and outside–to inspire you. And don’t worry: with the right skills, tools, vision–and sometimes the right contractor–these designs are possible for your home, thankfully without the million-dollar budget.
